Lagos Women Run 2021

The countdown to the 2021 edition of Lagos Women Run is at hand, the Biggest Female Sporting event in Sub-Saharan Africa which is its 6th year will be taking place on the 13th of November 2021. As its tradition, the race will maintain its two categories of Open Run for runners within 18years to 44 years whilst the Veteran Run will be for runners 45vyears and above

The LWR mobile application is the official app for the virtual run edition. Participants will be requested to download the app via a link that will be advised. Some of its features include:

Live Tracking of runners using Google Maps (Distance Covered, Time used, Calories etc)
Milestone Check-ins using Camera Pictures from Phone
Live Audio Commentary
Live Video interaction for runners.

The Virtual Run was a huge success as runners from all over the country participated in the LWR 2020 virtual run.we had pictures coming in from Abuja, Kano, Rivers State and from difference parts of Lagos.

First Lady Participated in LWR 2020 Virtual Run

The Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, completed her 10 kilometers Virtual Run inside the Lagos Government House complex, Ikeja adhering to all Covid-19 protocols as specified by the organizers, the Lagos Women Run 2020.
